Developer Gearbox Software is currently working on an undisclosed new AAA IP project. The company is seeking a lead producer who specializes in creating family-friendly cooperative games. The job descriptions also hint at a co-op and first-person perspective gameplay.

Interestingly, the project is still utilizing Unreal Engine 4, indicating that Gearbox has not yet transitioned to Unreal Engine 5. This suggests that the game is still in the early stages of development.

The upcoming title will be a large-scale AAA game, with the job description for a senior UI programmer revealing that it may be played from a first-person perspective. Gearbox is specifically seeking someone with experience in designing first-person games.

Job postings also indicate that the game aims to be compelling and replayable, with engaging enemies and combat. The descriptions mention progression-related game loops and monetization strategies, implying the presence of RPG and live service elements.

As of now, Gearbox has not officially announced details of its next project. It’s important to note that Gearbox Software is currently functioning as a subsidiary of Embracer Group as of 2021.
